First off, I want to personally thank you for taking the time to visit Raceday Imaging, your one stop source for auto racing media. Some of you already know me as the skinny guy with the camera who gets around the track for shots faster than you can get around it in your racecar. For those of you who don't know me, let me introduce myself. My name is Dan Butler, I have over 20 years of commercial art experience and over 10 years of experience in videography. I received my first art award in 1988 as a Gold Key finalist in the Boston Globe Scholastic Art competition in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1993 I was presented the Silver Key runner-up award in the same competition. I also have won several FPA/FPS Advertising awards in Florida, but enough of the boring stuff. The important thing is, I have been involved in auto racing my entire life! I was born and raised in New England, which is famed for some of the best racing in the country. My parents had me at the track 3 nights a week for as long as I can remember (my dad was a crew member for the late Fred Desarro). I was lucky enough to hang out in the pit area as a kid and watch such drivers as Geoff Bodine, Jimmy Spencer, Ron Bouchard and the late Richie Evans. As the years went on and I grew older, I started bringing my camera to the track every week.
